    NCAA Eligibility Center Raising Fee

Please advise high school student-athletes that effective September 1, the new fee to register with
the NCAA Eligibility Center will be $60.  High school student-athletes in the Class of 2009 are
advised to register with the Eligibility Center prior to September 1 to take advantage of the current
    domestic student rate of $50.

The NCAA Eligibility Center (formerly the Initial Eligibility Clearinghouse) is an organization that
works with the NCAA to determine a student’s eligibility for athletics participation in his or her first
year of college enrollment.  Students who want to participate in college sports at an NCAA college
or university must register with the Eligibility Center.  The Eligibility Center staff follows NCAA
bylaws and regulations in analyzing and processing a student’s high school academic records, ACT
or SAT scores and key information about amateurism participation to determine the student’s initial
    eligibility.
